Looking to make a powerful impact on wildlife without affecting your monthly budget? If you are 70½ or older and have a traditional IRA, you can easily make a gift to WWF of up to the full amount allowed by the IRS each year. These gifts, called Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs), can be made whether or not you itemize your deductions on your tax return. In many cases, these gifts are 100% tax-free and can help you fulfill your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), allowing you to protect wildlife without increasing your taxable income. Contact us today!

To qualify

  • You must be age 70½ or older at the time you make your gift.
  • Transfers must be made directly from a traditional or Roth IRA account to WWF.

  • May lower your gross taxable income
  • Can be used to make a one-time gift to fund life-income plans like Charitable Gift Annuities

Other ways to give through your IRA

  • Gift annuity: If you are 70½ or older, you may now make a one-time election for a qualified charitable distribution of up to $55,000 (without being taxed) from your IRA to fund a life-income gift. Some limitations apply, so contact us for more details and a personalized illustration at no obligation, and work with your financial advisor. For more information, please visit our gift planning website or contact our Gift Planning office.
  • Beneficiary designation: If you're under the age of 70½, you can still use your IRA to make a meaningful gift to WWF by making WWF a beneficiary of your retirement plan. For more information, please please visit our gift planning website or contact our Gift Planning office.
