Cristina Marcos

Cristina Marcos leads communications for WWF’s Policy & Government Affairs team, telling the stories of its environmental conservation policy advocacy and work with the US government to protect nature.

Before joining WWF, Cristina covered Congress as a reporter for national news organizations for over a decade. She spent most of that time reporting on the House of Representatives for The Hill, where she distilled complex legislative debates into stories that informed an audience of 40 million. From breaking news to big-picture analyses, Cristina developed deep institutional knowledge of how Congress works and an ability to explain the stakes of complex public policy issues to mass audiences. Cristina also worked as a communications consultant at ROKK Solutions in Washington, D.C., where she directed content development and strategic communications for leading nonprofits and trade associations, including a bipartisan coalition united behind natural disaster mitigation policies.
