Senior Program Officer, Strategic Planning and Finance, Earth for Life
As a senior program officer for the Strategic Planning and Finance team at WWF-US, Henry works with partner organizations to develop their financial models, financing mechanisms, and livelihoods programs to secure long- term funding for protected areas and their surrounding communities within the framework of the Project Finance Permanence (PFP) model.
Before joining WWF, Henry was living in Peru, piloting a Direct Financing program with the Rainforest Foundation US in Peru and Ecuador, providing direct funds to indigenous communities in the Amazon Basin, while providing support to build capacity for fund management, project design, and implementation using existing autonomous governance structures. Before that, he worked with the Peruvian National Parks Service (SERNANP) working on the Peru’s Natural Legacy (PDP) program, designing and implementing sustainable finance mechanisms and supporting the development of the PDP financial model. He also spent time in Peru developing business plans for communities living in National Parks and developing strategies to improve market access for local community-run businesses.
