Mary Diorio

MARY DIORIO is a psychiatrist who spent her career caring for children, adolescents and their families in private practice. She was also a clinical instructor at the University of Washington where she supervised residents in the adult and child psychiatry programs. She is board certified in both adult psychiatry and child/adolescent psychiatry. She has a BA in biology from Occidental College, an MD from George Washington University and did her residency and fellowship at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center. Retired for three years, she is now engaged actively with environmental and science-based philanthropic organizations. Together with her husband, Chris, she supports solutions to alleviate climate change, protect biodiversity and celebrate the beauty of nature. After raising two amazing daughters, Mary finds no greater joy than teaching her three-year-old granddaughter the wonders of the natural world.
