Jeamme Chia serves as senior program officer for nature-based solutions (NbS) at WWF-US, where she works to advance the development of high-integrity nature-based solutions in priority landscapes. Currently, she is integrally involved in the Nature-Based Solutions Origination Platform (NbS-OP), a WWF initiative to source, align, and sequence funds for NbS in key tropical forest geographies. In this role, Jeamme is the project manager for the initiative and provides technical and programmatic support to WWF-US leadership and country-facing teams designing NbS interventions that benefit communities and nature while addressing climate change.

Before joining WWF, Jeamme worked as a research associate at Segi Enam Advisors (Singapore), studying land-use change dynamics associated with palm oil and timber supply chains in Malaysia and Indonesia. As a management consultant at PwC (Malaysia), Jeamme specialized in corporate sustainability. Her responsibilities entailed helping companies develop sustainability strategies, improve processes and policies, and manage sustainability data.

Jeamme earned a Bachelor of Arts in political economy and political ecology from Sarah Lawrence College and a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of the Environment. Jeamme was raised in Malaysia and speaks four languages, including Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin Chinese. She has lived, studied, and worked in Malaysia, the United States, Thailand, and France.
