LISA Project

In 2020, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) launched the Linear Infrastructure Safeguards in Asia (LISA) Project—an assessment of the capacity of Asian countries to develop wildlife-friendly linear infrastructure focused on roads, railways, and high-voltage power lines.

This 14-month predecessor project to ALIGN, led by the Center for Large Landscape Conservation (CLLC), assessed Asia’s existing capacity to provide safeguards to protect Asia’s diverse wildlife species and their critical habitats from the region’s rapidly expanding linear infrastructure.
