WWF Statement on Build Back Better Act

Today, the White House announced a framework of the Build Back Better Act. In response, WWF issued the following statement from Alejandro Pérez, senior vice president, policy and government affairs:

“Along with other critical investments, the Administration's framework offers the largest US investment in history to address the climate crisis. It would jump start efforts to build the resilience of nature and our communities while speeding up America’s clean energy transition and creating new jobs and economic opportunities.

“Now Congress must finalize a bill that reflects the spirit of the framework and achieve the emissions reductions needed to meet the Administration’s climate targets. If not, the U.S. government will need to take additional steps to ensure we can successfully meet that mark.”
