Join us in the Peruvian Amazon, one of the planet’s richest wildlife regions, leading the world in freshwater fish and butterflies and ranking among the highest in birds, mammals, and reptiles. Its vast forests store immense carbon and form the second‑largest share of the Amazon rainforest. A journey with WWF experts covers more than 600 miles of the Amazon River aboard the Delfin II, with excursions into remote rainforest areas. The highlight is Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, a 5‑million‑acre expanse of untouched habitats founded in part by WWF. It shelters abundant wildlife, including pink and gray river dolphins, howler monkeys, sloths, macaws, and dazzling butterflies. Giant lily‑pad lagoons support fish, caimans, and marsh birds. Visits to local villages add cultural depth to this immersive rainforest adventure.
