Kelp Curriculum
Maine Aquaculture Innovation Center
With a Little Kelp from Our Friends is a book on the secret life of seaweed, written by Mathew Bate and illustrated by Liz Rowland. In partnership with WWF, the Maine Aquaculture Innovation Center developed a series of educational materials to pair with the book. Intended for use with students in grades 5 and 6, these activities are meant to introduce students to seaweed aquaculture including seaweed farming, food security, and seaweed’s role as a solution to climate change.
