How to ensure sustainable palm oil

Palm oil is the most widely consumed vegetable oil on the planet. The clearing of forests for the production of palm oil may destroy critical habitat for orangutans, tigers, elephants, and other species, but palm oil doesn’t have to be unsustainable. Palm oil takes less land to produce than other vegetable oils, and when produced responsibly, it can benefit the environment, local communities, and farmers.

Look for the RSPO label when you shop to ensure you purchase products made with certified sustainable palm oil.
